Romania emphasized the importance of “corridors of solidarity” against the background of Russia’s withdrawal from the Grain Agreement
New solutions to prevent the global food crisis caused by Russia will be discussed within the EU Council of Ministers in Brussels.
After withdrawing from the Grain Agreement, the terrorist country increased its attacks on the infrastructure of the Black Sea ports. Such actions by the Russians threaten international shipping and provoke a global food crisis.
“What Russia is doing these days — bombing ports, destroying infrastructure and practically threatening shipping in the Black Sea — is unacceptable. From our point of view, Russia intends to provoke a global food crisis, and this topic will be discussed today within the framework of the Council of Ministers of the EU on Foreign Affairs,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Luminica Odobescu, Ukrinform reports.
According to the minister, the terrorist country’s decision not to continue the operation of the Black Sea Initiative only emphasizes the importance of “corridors of solidarity”. Odobescu emphasized the important role of Romania in supporting the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. “We continue to express strong support to Ukraine in many directions, in particular, in the military dimension. Romania supports a targeted financial package for Ukraine, and seeks to approve the eighth tranche from the European Peace Fund,” the politician noted.
