Rosatom will gain access to 40% of the world’s container ports thanks to DP World

The Russian state corporation Rosatom and the port operator DP World (UAE) have agreed to create a new joint business.

The transport group FESCO will be part of it, Russian media reports.

The participants in the agreement are Rosatom’s subsidiary Global Logistics, DP World Russia FZE and Far Eastern Shipping Company (the parent company of the FESCO transport group).

“The partnership with DP World is in line with Rosatom’s strategy to create a global logistics operator for the effective implementation of national tasks to develop the transport potential of both the company and the Northern Sea Route corridor. DP World owns about 40% of container ports around the world, and as part of the creation of the joint company, Rosatom will gain access to them. for the Northern Sea Route,” said a representative of Rosatom.

The state corporation and DP World already have a joint venture established in 2023. In LLC “International Container Logistics” in “Rosatom Logistics” (a structure of the state corporation “Rosatom”) – 51%, in the company DP World Russia FZE – 49%.
