Russia and Belarus are still the main exporters of rapeseed meal to the EU

Russia and Belarus still remain the main suppliers of rapeseed meal to the countries of the European Union.
In the first half of 2023, EU countries imported 356,600 tons of rapeseed meal, which is 61% more than in the same period last year, reports Ukragrokonsult with reference to data from the European Commission.
Russia remains the main supplier of rapeseed meal to the EU. During the specified period, Russian exporters sent 160.1 thousand tons to the EU (45% of the total volume).
Belarus ranks second among suppliers (97.7 thousand tons), Ukraine ranks third (74.4 thousand tons).
Lithuania (99.6 thousand tons), Poland (71.9 thousand tons), France (62.3 thousand tons), Spain (46.2 thousand tons) and Latvia (30.7 thousand tons).
Last season, EU countries imported 842.8 thousand tons of rapeseed meal, of which 400.8 thousand tons (48%) came from Russia.
