Russia and China began training in the Pacific Ocean

China and Russia have started joint naval exercises — a few days after the NATO summit in Washington.

Russia and China began naval exercises in the South China Sea on July 14. This is reported by “Militarnyi”.

The training will probably last until July 17. The exercises will include air defense and surface missile training. Allegedly, the exercise aims to demonstrate the capabilities of both countries in the fight against “security threats to stability in the world and in the region.” On the part of Moscow, the Gromky and Rezky corvettes will take part in the exercises.

The joint exercises are taking place against the background of the NATO summit in Washington, which took place the day before. Then, at the summit, Beijing was called a “decisive factor” in the war in Ukraine.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the People’s Republic of China, the operation allegedly has nothing to do with the international and regional situation and is not aimed at a third party.

The day before, USM wrote that the Russians are trying to “steal” Magura V5 maritime drones from Ukraine.
