Russia damaged 22 civilian vessels in three months, Kuleba

Over the past three months, Russian troops have carried out almost 60 attacks on the port infrastructure of Ukraine.

Russia is purposefully intensifying its attacks on the port infrastructure of southern Ukraine, said Oleksiy Kuleba, Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

The purpose of these attacks is to reduce Ukraine’s export potential. It is about deliberately provoking a food crisis in those parts of the world that directly depend on the supply of Ukrainian grain.

The targets of enemy shelling are primarily ports, civilian ships and granaries.

So, over the past three months, the enemy has carried out almost 60 such attacks. Their consequence was the damage and destruction of almost 300 port infrastructure facilities, 177 vehicles and 22 civilian vessels.

79 civilians were injured, among them workers of ports, logistics companies and ship crews. Every war crime was documented by law enforcement officers.

“For its part, the world must respond accordingly to these attacks, because the consequences of shelling are felt not only for Ukraine. First of all, it affects the states of the Global South and Europe. Today, more than 40 countries receive our grain – among them Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain, Turkey, and the Netherlands,” the minister noted.

USM previously reported that the Russians attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa with missiles. The invaders hit the Panamanian-flagged civilian container ship Shui Spirit.
