Russia has already attacked 321 infrastructure facilities in Ukrainian ports
During the operation of the sea corridor, Russia attacked more than 20 civilian vessels and more than 60 food infrastructure facilities in Ukrainian ports.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the Grain from Ukraine food security conference.
“From July 2023 to this month, 321 infrastructure facilities of our ports were damaged by strikes from Russian missiles and Iranian drones. More than 20 ordinary, civilian vessels were hit and damaged — and we are talking about vessels of other countries, not Ukrainian ones. The enemy carried out more than 60 targeted strikes precisely on food infrastructure,” Zelensky noted.
He noted that it is important for Ukraine to remind about food security precisely in these days, when we honor the memory of the victims of the large-scale and artificial famine in Ukraine, primarily the Holodomor of 1932-1933, which was organized by the then authorities in Moscow.
“More than 90 years have passed, but the memory of this in Ukrainian families will not and cannot fade, because millions of people died. Of course, we must value every person, tens, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands. But when it comes to the Holodomor, this is a real genocide, because millions of people died,” the president noted.
Recently, USM wrote that as a result of attacks on the ports of Odesa, more than 100 thousand tons of agricultural products were destroyed.
