Russia has attacked 20 ships in Ukrainian ports since October, says Ministry of Development

In October-December, 20 vessels were damaged in Ukrainian ports as a result of Russian attacks — 2.5 times more than in the same period a year earlier.
This was reported by Deputy Minister for Development of Community and Territorial Andriy Kashuba in an interview with Forbes Ukraine.
He noted that during this time, 35 attacks on Ukraine’s port infrastructure were recorded — twice as many as in 2024.
According to Kashuba, in the last three months of 2025, the enemy also destroyed 47 port facilities, in particular — tank farms, which cannot be restored in the coming months due to the scale of the destruction.
The Deputy Minister also said that the ports of Great Odesa and Danube reduced cargo handling by 16.9%, compared to the same period in 2024 — to 19.2 million tons.
“If we compare it with the pre-war year 2021, the difference is even more noticeable: then the seaports of Ukraine processed 47 million tons of cargo during the same period. But it is important to note that then 13 ports were operating, and now only six,” Kashuba emphasized and added that exports continue, despite the difficult security situation.
