Russia has canceled the main naval parade, — Center for Countering Disinformation

Russia has canceled the main naval parade scheduled for July 27 in St. Petersburg without giving any reason.
This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
As noted by the Center, this year there will be neither a passage of ships down the Neva River nor a salute from the Peter and Paul Fortress.
“The Kremlin can no longer pretend that the war does not concern the Russian rear. The war affects all spheres of life in the Russian Federation, even such symbolic and high-profile events as the fleet parade,” the center noted.
Today, Russian ships cannot feel safe even on their own territory.
The refusal to hold the event may also be due to the military command’s fears that the fleet’s losses in the war will become obvious. The parade, which was supposed to demonstrate the so-called power of Russia, risks making a completely different impression, the Center added.
USM previously reported that Russia’s only aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, was decommissioned.
