Russia has increased the number of ships in the North Sea

The Norwegian defense forces have confirmed the presence of several russian vessels in the international waters of the North Sea and expect an increase in russian activity in the area in the next two months.

“Russian warships carry out activities related to May 9. Several vessels are currently operating in the North Sea, and this activity is greater than in recent years,” the Norwegian Defense Forces reported.

As European Truth writes, the Norwegian military emphasizes that russian ships are in international waters, and their activities are not illegal, and they assure that they are tracking russian ships.

“May and June are a tense period of training for our and allied Defense Forces. Therefore, we are in a period when significant activity by the allies – and russia – is expected in the sea not far from us,” the Norwegian military added.

Previously, military analyst HI Sutton reported on five ships that left russian ports in the Baltic Sea.
