Russia is recruiting volunteers to protect the port of Ust-Luga from drone attacks

The military command posts of the Leningrad region have announced a recruitment of volunteers for mobile fire groups to protect the port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea.
This was reported by “Militarnyi”.
The port of Ust-Luga is home to the Transneft-Baltika oil depots, the Ust-Luga Oil terminal and NOVATEK facilities. They are actively used by Russia to circumvent sanctions by transshipment of energy resources through the “shadow fleet”.
The terms of the contract provide for a three-year service with a “2 in 2 months” schedule and payment from 15 to 30 thousand rubles per month (approximately 7.5–16 thousand UAH).
The recruitment began against the backdrop of a series of attacks by Ukrainian drones on facilities in Ust-Luga. In particular, in August of this year, drones damaged fuel tanks and elements of the transshipment infrastructure. After the incident, a decrease in export volumes through the port was recorded.
Meanwhile, on October 31, the Ukrainian Navy struck the Russian strategic energy sector with the “Neptune” missile.
