Russia is trying to protect the stricken ship by ferrying it between the bays of Sevastopol

Constant movements and increased camouflage indicate attempts to maintain the combat capability of individual landing ships and reduce their vulnerability in bases.
In Sevastopol, the occupation fleet is driving the damaged large landing ship of project 1171 “Tapir” between bays. This is reported by “Crimean Wind”.

The Russians covered the ship’s superstructure with camouflage nets to hide the consequences of the 2023 strike.

Monitoring by “Crimean Wind” shows that during 2025 and early 2026, the Large Landing Craft was repeatedly rearranged between stations.

Only two ships of the “Tapir” project remained in the Russian Black Sea Fleet – “Orsk” (in service since 1968) and “Nikolai Filchenkov” (1975). The second ship of this type was taken to Novorossiysk. It was also reported to have been damaged in the attack on November 25, 2025.

USM previously reported that the Russians were using a “shadow fleet” to smuggle weapons out of occupied Crimea.
