Russia may use dolphins to protect its naval base in Sevastopol
British intelligence believes that Russia uses dolphins to protect the Russian Black Sea Fleet base in Sevastopol.
Recently, Russia has strengthened the protection of the Black Sea Fleet base in occupied Sevastopol, and is also recruiting bottlenose dolphins for protection, according to a British intelligence звіті report.
According to analysts, as early as the summer of 2022, Russia began to strengthen security measures for the Russian Black Sea Fleet base in Sevastopol. Defense measures include at least four layers of nets and boom barriers at the harbor entrance.
Intelligence also said that the Russians had strengthened the defense with more specially trained dolphins. It is about bottlenose dolphins.
The agency noted that the fleet in the Arctic also uses belugas and seals.
“Russia uses trained animals for various tasks. Those stationed in the port of Sevastopol, most likely, are there to counter enemy divers,” the message reads.
