Russia stated that it saw no reason to extend the Grain Agreement
The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Peskov, said that the Grain Agreement has no chance, because Moscow sees no reason to continue it.
“Here it is hardly possible to predict any final decision, we can only state that judging de facto from what we have, this agreement has no chance,” Peskov said.
According to Peskov, the agreement provides for “a case on the part of the contracting states or associations.”
“And part of this case was done, but the second part, which related to the Russian Federation, was never done. Therefore, if we state what we have now, then, of course, there are no prospects, there are no grounds for its continuation. Because until now what was promised to us has not been done,” he said.
Earlier, USM reported that the President of the Russian Federation, Putin, is thinking about withdrawing Russia from the Grain Agreement, because the state was “deceived by the West”, and the demands of the terrorist country “are not being met.”
