Russia wants to return the fleet to Crimea under the guise of a truce in the Black Sea, — Bratchuk

Moscow considers the goal of the negotiations on the “calm” at sea to be the restoration of control over sea routes and the return of the fleet to the occupied Crimea.
Russia seeks to use the negotiations on the ceasefire in the Black Sea to return its Black Sea fleet to the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army “South” Serhiy Bratchuk on the air of the “My-Ukraine” TV channel.
“If we talk about the risks that currently exist in the Black Sea, then the desire of the Russian Federation is obvious – they do not just want to control the routes, including the so-called return to the “grain agreement”. It is about much more – Ukraine has already restored its export-import corridors, including for the largest container operators in the world. And Russia’s main goal is to return the fleet to Crimea,” he stressed.
According to Bratchuk, it was the successes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Black Sea that allowed for the restoration of sea communication and actually blocked the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Novorossiysk. This is especially true for missile carriers, which are now more concerned about their own security than about carrying out combat missions.
“Ukraine’s position is clear: any violation by Russia must be met with a response. This includes new strikes on the Russian Black Sea Fleet,” he added.
The previous day, the United States and Ukraine agreed to support safety of navigation, prevent the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea.
While Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire without any preconditions, the Russian Federation is trying to impose additional conditions on the calm in the Black Sea.
