Russia will receive a new batch of drones from Iran: probably by sea
Currently, Russia is waiting for the delivery of attack drones from Iran. Weapons are probably transported across the Caspian Sea.
“Now we can state that there have been fewer drones. This may be due to the fact that they (ed. note – the Russians) are waiting for an update of the supply. Again, literally in a few days, there will be an intensified attack,” Natalya Humenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, said on the air of the telethon.
According to her, drone attacks on the south of Ukraine usually take place from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.
It is likely that Russia has switched from small shipments of Iranian drones by plane to larger shipments by ship from Iran via the Caspian Sea.
In September 2022, the Russian company Oboronlogistika boasted that its ship had delivered high-tech oversized equipment from the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas to Novorossiysk. USM assumed the cargo was Iranian drones.
