Russian bulk carrier transports stolen Ukrainian grain to Egypt

The bulk carrier Fedor was spotted in the seaport of Feodosia in occupied Crimea — the Russians have repeatedly involved the ship in the theft of Ukrainian grain.

This time, «Fedor» is leaving occupied Feodosia for Alexandria (Egypt), reports Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets center.

It is noted that the ship loaded 9,000 tons of wheat in the port of Feodosia on March 1-3, and about a week later it left the port in the direction of Alexandria.

The vessel “Fedor” (IMO:9431977) is a dry cargo ship flying the Russian flag. The bulk carrier was built in 2007. Deadweight — 9,517 tons.

Recall that “Fedor” has been repeatedly spotted transporting Ukrainian grain stolen from the Russian Federation.

In 2022, the Fedor ship left the Crimean port for the Turkish port of Bandirma with a cargo of corn on board. Despite the appeal of the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office, Turkey released the bulk carrier after a month-long stay in the port of Bandırma.

As previously reported by USM, Russia is using Crimea as a “gray zone” for the transportation of grain that it illegally seized in Ukraine. It is also known that the Russian Federation planned to steal Ukrainian grain even before the full-scale invasion.
