Russian diesel supplies to Turkey have decreased by almost 20%

Since the beginning of the year, transshipment of Russian diesel and gas oil in Turkish ports has decreased by almost 20%.
In January-April, transshipment of Russian diesel and gas oil in Turkish ports decreased by 18% – to 4.8 million tons, enkorr reports.
The decrease was primarily due to a decrease in purchases by Tupras oil refineries: the terminals of the refineries in Izmir and Izmit received 397 thousand tons of distillates compared to 956 thousand tons last year. Mersin terminals also reduced volumes from 1.92 million tons to 1.67 million tons. In contrast, transshipment in Marmara increased by a third – to 1.38 million tons.
Overall, during the reporting period, the volume of supplies of Russian distillates to ports of other countries increased by 3%, to 15.8 million tons. At the same time, the second largest importer, Brazil, reduced purchases by 10%, to 2.89 million tons.
African countries, on the contrary, increased imports. Egypt showed the largest increase – three times, to 1.1 million tons. Morocco increased supplies from 354 thousand to 779 thousand tons, Tunisia – from 681 thousand to 804 thousand tons. At the same time, Libya reduced imports from 852 thousand to 492 thousand tons. Total supplies to the continent increased by 10% – to 4.58 million tons.
The largest volumes of products were shipped from the Russian ports of Primorsk (6.26 million tons), Novorossiysk (3.55 million tons) and Tuapse (1.93 million tons).
Earlier, USM reported that the largest Turkish refinery resumed purchases of Russian Urals oil.
