As a result of the hit on the building and territory of the checkpoint, fires broke out, and the clearance of people and vehicles was temporarily suspended.

On the night of September 1, Russian Shahed-type strike drones attacked the international crossing point for the Orlivka ferry service on the Ukrainian-Romanian border. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.

The hit occurred on the building and territory of the checkpoint, as a result of which fires broke out. The fire was localized by the State Emergency Service employees.

The clearance of people and vehicles at the checkpoint has been temporarily suspended. The Romanian side has been informed about the situation. Transport is being directed to other checkpoints.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine calls on citizens to take the situation into account when planning trips abroad.

As USM recently wrote, Turkey wants to return to the “grain corridor” format in the Black Sea.
