Russian federation has increased sea exports from Urals to Asia
Sea exports of Urals oil to Asia increased before the December EU embargo on oil and oil products of the aggressor country.
October deliveries of russian Urals oil to Asia increased to 2.08 million tons, which is 8% more than in the same period last month, and makes up 50% of the total volume of oil exports. India and Turkey became the main buyers of Urals, according to Refinitiv Eikon analysts.
For the period October 1-20, the volume of shipments of Urals oil to India was 1.38 million tons, compared with 1.72 million tons for the same period in September. Deliveries to China increased to 0.3 million tons from 0.1 million tons. At the same time, sea shipments of Urals to EU countries fell by 22% to 1.1 million tons, Reuters calculations showed.
Bulgaria is the only country that has been allowed to continue importing russian oil by sea since the beginning of the EU embargo. Also, oil will continue to be transported to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic by pipeline.
Oil supplies to European countries that did not join the sanctions increased by 6% in October. Deliveries to Bulgaria increased to 0.48 million tons from 0.4 million tons, and to Turkey – to 0.94 million tons from 0.88 million tons.
In general, oil transit from the ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk for the period October 1-20 increased by 1% compared to the same period last month to 5.38 million tons.
