The new postal issue, which has already been put into circulation, contains images of destroyed warships of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
On Wednesday, May 8, a new postal issue “Russian Navy – to the bottom!” was put into circulation in Kyiv, the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.
The postal issue is a continuation of the legendary series of postage stamps of the wartime “Russian Warship …!” and symbolizes the cleansing of the Black Sea from the Russian fleet.
The issue contains images of warships, which became the heaviest loss to the enemy that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have inflicted since the beginning of the full-scale war.
In particular, these are large landing ships “Saratov” (24.03.2022), “Minsk” (13.09.2023), “Novocherkask” (26.12.2023), “Cesar Kunikov” (14.02.2024), missile cruiser “Moscow” ( 04/13/2022), rescue and towing vessel “Rescuer Vasyl Beh” (06/17/2022), submarine “Rostov-on-Don” (09/13/2023), patrol corvette “Serhiy Kotov” (03/05/2024).
The stamp also features an image of the still-undestroyed patrol frigate Admiral Makarov under the sights.
It should be noted that the solemn redemption ceremony of the postal issue with the “First Day” stamp took place with the participation of the commander of the River Flotilla of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, captain of the first rank Yuriy Vytskyi.
Earlier we told that Ukrposhta issues a stamp dedicated to the destruction of Russian ships.
