Russian man faces 118 years in prison for transporting illegal immigrants by sea

A Russian man was sentenced to 118 years in prison for transporting illegal migrants on a ship in Greece.
According to Russian media, 37-year-old Vladimir Kotelnikov from Chelyabinsk got a job as a sailor on a yacht in Greece.
Then, his documents were allegedly taken away from him and “forced to transport people.”
When the ship with migrants on board was sailing past Rhodes, they were stopped by Greek border guards. As a result, the man faces 118 years in prison. This was reported to the Mash Telegram channel by the president of the organization “Unified Coordination Center for Supporting Compatriots Abroad” Ivan Melnikov. He added that 36 more Russians are serving similar charges in Greek prisons.
