Russian port of Ust-Luga to operate at half capacity in September due to shelling, media reports

Successful attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian oil and gas infrastructure have caused a drop in export volumes from the port of Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea.

This is reported by Reuters.

The publication’s sources note that the Russian oil export terminal Ust-Luga will pump 350,000 barrels per day in September – about half of its maximum capacity – due to “damage caused to the pipeline infrastructure by strikes by Ukrainian drones.”

It is also noted that Russia is already working on repairing the terminal, but the timing of the repair of the damage is currently unknown.

“The drop in Ust-Luga volumes will lead to the redirection of oil to Russian ports in Primorsk and Novorossiysk,” analysts believe, adding that the Ukrainian strikes are potentially capable of causing significant disruptions to Russian oil exports.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine had disabled 17% of Russian refineries.
