Two Russian amphibious ships and a tanker allegedly accidentally entered Spanish territorial waters.
During March 21-26, patrol boats of the Spanish Navy escorted Russian ships that “got lost” in Spanish sovereign waters. This is reported by “European Truth” with reference to the Spanish Defense Staff.
We are talking about the amphibious ships “Ivan Gren” and “Alexander Otrakovsky”, as well as the Russian tanker “Kola”.
The Spanish patrol boat Atalaya first detected Russian vessels in Spain’s sovereign waters in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula on the morning of March 21. They were followed until crossing the border with Portugal, where the frigate Bartolomeu Dias took over the patrol.
From March 23 to 26, the Spanish boat Vigía continued to monitor Russian vessels in the waters of the Gulf of Cadiz.
Previously, USM wrote that Spain has started construction of the second F-110 frigate.
