Russian strikes on ports are pressure for negotiations, — Pletenchuk

The Russian strikes on the Odesa port may be part of the pressure against the backdrop of ceasefire negotiations.
This was reported on air by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrinform writes.
Separately, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy noted that the Russians are launching these strikes on military infrastructure, but this is not true.
“This ship was headed to Algeria, that is, this is exactly the region that is in the zone of turbulence regarding food security, where Ukrainian grain is needed. Of course, this may be related to possible ceasefire negotiations. As you can see, their practice always consists in strengthening their negotiating positions through forceful pressure,” Pletenchuk emphasized.
We will remind, on the evening of Tuesday, March 11, the Russian military launched a missile strike on the Odesa seaport.
According to preliminary information, four crew members of the MJ Pinar vessel were killed, another sailor was injured. An employee of the watch company who was on board was also injured.
Subsequently, the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, stated that Russia’s attacks on ports are attacks on the world’s food security.
