Scattered grain: the first violators came to trial in Poland

The first offenders who spilled Ukrainian grain from grain trucks on the border with Poland have already appeared in court.

“The Polish government is responding, relevant cases are being initiated, the first offenders have already appeared in court, they face up to five years in prison,” Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at the “Ukraine. The year is 2024.”

In turn, the Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Oleksandr Kubrakov noted that Ukrainian grain does not enter the Polish market, which has already been officially proven.

Thus, in January, the export of Ukrainian agricultural products took place mainly through the sea corridor and amounted to 6.7 million tons. Instead, only 0.37 million tons passed through the territory of Poland in transit.

We will remind, on the night of February 25, Polish protesters dumped 160 tons of Ukrainian grain on the border. The cargo was transiting to the port of Gdansk, from where it was sent to other countries of the world.
