Scattered Ukrainian grain is disposed of in Poland
30 tons of Ukrainian grain scattered by Polish protesters on the border are being disposed of in Poland.
The collection of Ukrainian corn, which was poured from the wagons directly onto the track, was completed at the Kotomiezh station, and the freight train left for its destination, reports Gospodarka Morska.
An employee of the transport security company told the Polish media that about 30 tons of grain could not be collected.
We are talking about corn grain, unsuitable for further use, because it was contaminated after it was scattered.
According to Pavel Bilevskyi from the company responsible for transport safety, the grain was transported in transit from Ukraine to Morocco.
“Eight out of forty cars were opened. The wagons were definitely opened by third parties. Customs ropes 8 mm thick were cut. In this way, the double side doors of the wagons were opened,” commented Bilevskyi.
He added that 160 to 180 tons of grain were spilled from the wagons.
Previously, USM reported that Polish protesters again dumped Ukrainian grain on the railway at the border.
