Germany is likely to intensify the fight against “grey” exports of Russian oil.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced plans to step up measures against the Kremlin’s so-called shadow fleet. “European Truth”writes about it.
The chancellor noted that the outdated tankers that Russia uses to transport oil pose a risk to shipping safety as well as marine ecology.
Scholz hopes to unite the efforts of the EU countries in a global coalition to put an end to Russia’s illegal activities at sea.
The day before, USM wrote that the EU and Britain will strengthen inspections of the Russian oil fleet.
