“Sea Breeze 2024”: Navy sailors plan amphibious operations

The next phase of the Sea Breeze 2024 exercise is dedicated to the art of planning amphibious operations by Marine Corps forces.
Representatives of the United States Marine Corps noted that the training will be unique, the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
During the preparation of the training program, the training elements of the maneuvering course, the planning of landing operations and the calculation of the necessary resources for the implementation of the plan were combined.
In the last week, the Ukrainian marines, together with their colleagues from the USA, Great Britain and Georgia, have already analyzed the topic of amphibious operations regarding their preparation and step-by-step planning, taking into account the combat experience that the Ukrainian marines already have.
An important element of preparation is also the method of planning depending on the circumstances and the time allotted for planning the operation. During the training, various variants of combat planning will be tested. The “rapid response to the situation” scenario is considered as one of the main elements of this training.
It will be recalled that international exercises “Sea Breeze” have started in Scotland. The main subject of the exercises is the preparation and conduct of mine countermeasures operations in the Black Sea.
