Selling disability certificates: former deputy head of the was detained in Odesa region
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a former employee of the state port in the Odesa region for selling fake disability certificates.
The SBU and the National Police have eliminated six new schemes for evading mobilization and illegal travel abroad by men of draft age, the SBU reported.
As a result of comprehensive measures in different regions of Ukraine, 10 organizers of the deals were detained. For bribes ranging from 3 to 20 thousand US dollars, they helped men to hide from the draft on the basis of fake documents.
In particular, in the Odesa region, a former deputy head of the state seaport and a current employee of the institution were detained, who sold fake disability certificates to conscripts. To make the fakes, the dealers used familiar doctors from the local Medical-sanitary Commission.
Currently, the defendants from different regions have been notified of suspicion under six articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
USM previously reported that the SBU confirmed the liquidation of the CO of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Valerii Trankovskyi, the head of the headquarters of the 41st brigade of missile ships and boats of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, was liquidated in occupied Sevastopol.
