Shipping Administration and EBA discussed challenges for maritime logistics

The Head of the Shipping Administration, Serhiy Gurskyi, held a meeting with the Logistics Committee of the European Business Association.

The parties discussed current challenges and directions for the development of the maritime and river industry, the Shipping Administration reported.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of civil shipping safety in the face of increasing Russian attacks, improving the regulatory framework for the transshipment of dangerous goods, issuing Danube river certificates, digitalization of the Shipping Administration’s services, development of inland waterway transport, regulation of document processing issues, creation of more favorable conditions for the use of the state flag of Ukraine and support for Ukrainian shipbuilding.

During the meeting, Serhiy Gursky emphasized that today the state should be not only a regulator for business, but also a reliable partner. It is open dialogue, prompt response to challenges and joint search for solutions that are the key to the sustainable operation of the logistics industry in wartime.

All proposals voiced by business representatives will be processed by the Shipping Administration team and taken into account in further work.

Among the participants of the meeting are representatives of Allseeds, Bunge, COFCO, Hermes Trading, NIBULON, Ukrrichflot, Metinvest Shipping, Ville Forte and other companies – members of the Logistics Committee of the European Business Association.
