Signs of combat achievements will be placed on Ukrainian Navy vessels

Signs of combat achievements will be applied to the vessels of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There will be two categories of awards – for successful combat actions (operations) and for the destruction of enemy equipment.

The Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, by an order approved the changes to the Manual on maritime culture on military ships. The changes, in particular, provide for the application of signs of combat achievements, which reflect the successes of the ship’s personnel during combat operations at sea. Signs are divided into two separate categories — for successful combat actions (operations) and for the destruction of enemy equipment.

“Signs for successful combat actions are applied by the crews on the wings of the gangway (if the award “For courage and bravery” is available – below the stylized image). Signs for the destruction of enemy equipment are placed on the upper tier of superstructures and have the appearance of a silhouette of destroyed enemy equipment. In the event of a target being hit by a ship’s artillery during backup control, the sign is applied to the barrel casing and has the appearance of a stripe,” ArmiyaInform reports.

If the crew receives the Medal of Honor “For courage and bravery”, then the stylized image is placed on all ships, boats, vessels of the brigade (division).
