Since the beginning of December, Ukraine has exported more than 800,000 tons of grain
As of today, Ukraine exported 824,000 tons of grain, while last year over 1 million tons were shipped for the same period.
In total, since the beginning of the 2023/24 FY, Ukraine exported 13.92 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. Of these, 824,000 tons were shipped this month, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reports.
This indicator of seasonal export is significantly inferior to last year, when 18.974 million tons were shipped as of December 9. The volume of exports in December is also less than last year (as of December 9, 2022 – 1.092 million tons).
In terms of crops, since the beginning of the current season, the following have been exported:
• wheat – 6.103 million tons (in December – 194 thousand tons);
• barley – 897 thousand tons (23 thousand tons);
• rye – 0.9 thousand tons (0);
• corn – 6.785 million tons (605 thousand tons).
