Slovakia calls for extending the ban on Ukrainian imports
The Slovak government may extend the embargo on Ukrainian grain.
The Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Borys Kollar, called on the government to extend the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain, reports Polskie Radio.
At the same time, the official emphasized that the transit of Ukrainian grain should continue without restrictions and with the support of EU countries.
“We are not fighting transit. Let Ukrainian grain go to Africa through all of Europe, but it should not stay here,” said Borys Kollar.
Earlier, the governments of Poland and Hungary announced their intention to introduce their own restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. The European Commission’s current restrictions expire on September 15.
