Spain will allocate 2.7 million euros to the Grain from Ukraine initiative


Spain will provide financial assistance in the amount of 2.7 million euros, which will be directed to the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held an online meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of the Kingdom of Spain Luis Planas Puchades.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the Grain from Ukraine program, which provides humanitarian aid in the form of grain supplies to the poorest countries in Africa and Asia to prevent famine, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.

Luis Planas Puchades noted that Spain welcomes and supports the humanitarian food initiative. The government announced assistance in the amount of 2.7 million euros for the implementation of Grain from Ukraine.

The parties also discussed the possibility of Spain providing generators to Ukrainian farmers and supplying additional vehicles for transporting grain.
