Sparta IV in Tartus: Russia continues to withdraw military equipment from Syria

Russia continues to evacuate its military equipment from Syria. The Sparta IV ship arrived in the port of Tartus, which is likely to be loaded with military equipment.
The Russian ship Sparta IV (IMO: 9743033) entered the Syrian port of Tartus on February 18. This was reported by the Crimean Wind monitoring group.
The ship left Baltiysk on January 26 with an official destination in Port Said, Egypt, but never arrived there. Instead, on February 9, it was spotted south of the island of Cyprus, where it was likely waiting for permission to enter Tartus.

Also on February 17, a large Project 775 landing ship was spotted near the pier in Tartus, probably the Alexander Otrakovsky. It was last seen on February 7 as part of a convoy accompanying another ship, which was also being loaded with military equipment and equipment in Tartus.
The total weight of the cargo that the Alexander Otrakovsky is capable of carrying is 480 tons. In total, the ship can carry up to 13 medium tanks or armored personnel carriers, or up to 20 trucks.
In addition, on February 17, Russian Raptor and Grachonok boats were spotted in Tartus, which indicates possible preparations for further transportation of military equipment.

The day before, USM wrote that the Russian Federation is trying to maintain its presence in Syria even after the fall of the Assad regime.
