Strengthening the protection of port infrastructure discussed in Odesa

A working meeting was held in Odesa with the participation of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the USPA and the Odesa Regional Military Administration on the functioning of ports.

The meeting was held with the participation of the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa, the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper, the Commander of the Air Command “South” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Humenyuk, the military leadership of the region and the Head of the State Enterprise ” Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” Mykola Kravchuk.
It is noted that the parties discussed the issues of strengthening the protection of port infrastructure, the restoration of transshipment of certain types of cargo, as well as the current situation in ports and further joint actions of the military, authorities and the port industry.
“Today, the USPA is directing significant resources to strengthen the protection of port infrastructure. At the same time, business plays an important role, which continues to work effectively and is involved in the implementation of necessary decisions. It is this kind of joint work that allows ports to remain a key pillar of Ukrainian exports,” said Mykola Kravchuk, head of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration”.
Earlier, Ukraine, the EU, Romania and Moldova agreed to strengthen logistics coordination on the Danube.
