The first batch of humanitarian aid was delivered to the port of Khartoum (Sudan) on February 22. The vessel MV “Ocean Dream” brought 7,665 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour.
“Donors for the shipment of two shipments were Germany, which provided $15 million, as well as Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Slovenia, and Spain, which financed the shipment of the second shipment in the amount of $23.8 million flour,” says the message.
Ukrainian wheat flour will be distributed as part of food packages for 2 million people in Sudan who have been affected by the war.
As previously reported by USM, more than 136 million dollars were collected for the humanitarian initiative Grain From Ukraine during the second international summit.
