Svyridenko: Ukraine exported 12 million tons of grain through the maritime corridor
The export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea has returned to pre-war indicators.
In January, 12 million tons of grain were exported from the ports of Great Odesa. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko at the forum “Ukraine. The year is 2024”, writes “Ukrinform”.
“The launch of the new sea corridor made it possible to export a record 12 million tons of grain in January, which, in fact, is equal to the volume of the pre-war period. In February, which has not yet ended, an indicator of 8.5 million tons is expected, which also exceeds the pre-war indicators,” Svyridenko emphasized.
Also at the forum “Ukraine. The year 2024” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Turkey can help in unblocking Mykolaiv ports.
Recently, USM wrote that for almost 7 months of operation of the maritime corridor, 854 ships exported 26 million tons of cargo from the ports of Great Odesa to 42 countries. Of these, more than 18 million tons are products of Ukrainian farmers.
