Svyrydenko: Ukrainian grain has already been exported through Croatian ports
Ukraine has only just started exporting grain through Croatian seaports, but this trade route is already popular.
The opening of new trade routes for the export of grain and other issues related to the war in Ukraine were discussed by the Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and the Prime Minister of Croatia Andriy Plenkovich during a bilateral meeting at the summit of the Three Seas initiative in Bucharest.

In particular, the meeting raised the issue of bilateral trade and the export of Ukrainian grain through Croatian ports. After all, Russia continues to attack the grain infrastructure on the Black Sea coast, which significantly limits the possibilities of domestic grain exports.
According to Yulia Svyridenko, Ukrainian grain has already been exported through Croatian ports.
“Thank you for this opportunity. Although this trade route is niche, it is already popular. We are ready to develop it, expanding the possibilities of the transport corridor. We believe that this logistics route will play an important role in bilateral trade between our countries even after the war,” the minister commented.
In addition, the parties discussed the importance of jointly solving the issue of export restrictions for Ukrainian agricultural products.
Earlier, USM reported that the majority of EU countries opposed the extension of the ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products after September 15.
