Switzerland has imposed a ban on businesses cooperating with Russian seaports

Swiss sanctions have extended to the seaports of Astrakhan, Makhachkala, Novorossiysk, Primorsk and Ust-Luga.

This was reported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), writes the CTS.

Switzerland has imposed a ban on commercial operations with six Russian airports and five seaports, following similar measures by the European Union.

Thus, the sanctions have extended to the seaports of Astrakhan, Makhachkala, Novorossiysk, Primorsk and Ust-Luga.

The decision was made as part of the synchronization of Switzerland’s sanctions policy with the EU.

As previously reported by USM, the 17th package of EU sanctions against Russia provides for restrictions against 189 vessels of the “shadow fleet”.
