Switzerland imposes new sanctions against Russian ships and oil

Switzerland has introduced new sanctions against Russia, synchronizing the 18th package of EU sanctions.

This was reported by the presidential commissioner for remedial policy Vladyslav Vlasyuk.

According to him, Switzerland, like the EU, has lowered the price ceiling for Russian oil to $47.60 per barrel.

“14 new individuals and 41 legal entities have been hit by the sanctions, which are subject to asset freezing and a ban on entry or transit through the territory of Switzerland,” the commissioner said.

Among them are Russian and international companies that operate vessels of the so-called “shadow fleet”, as well as Russian oil traders and military-industrial complex companies.

Additionally, 8 Belarusian defense companies, as well as 7 individuals and 3 companies from Moldova, were added to the list.

Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers approved a plan to implement sanctions against the captains of the Russian “shadow fleet”.
