Support for Ukrainian agricultural exports was discussed at a meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture and Development.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has reoriented its exports to European countries. At the same time, deliveries to Asian and African countries have significantly decreased.

Since the beginning of the 2023/24 MR, as of November 6, Ukraine has exported 9.794 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, of which 550,000 tons were shipped during the current month.

The volume of export of agricultural products in October increased by 15% compared to September.

The government approved resolution No. 1132 “On the implementation of an experimental project on the verification of entities of the agro-industrial complex under martial law”.

Ukraine has reduced the volume of transportation of agricultural products in transit through the territories of neighboring countries by 3-4 times.

Due to problems with logistics, Ukraine often completely lost a small amount of wheat export markets.

Discussions on agriculture will be the most difficult during the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, but this topic will not become an obstacle to future membership.

Ukraine has developed a procedure for verifying the export of 4 agricultural crops in accordance with the decision of the European Commission, and does not export agricultural products to 5 border countries without their approval.

The export of Ukrainian grain since the beginning of the 2023/2024 marketing year (July 2023 — June 2024) amounts to 6.152 million tons.
