This year, Ukraine exported 87.2 million tons by sea transport, compared to 54.8 million tons last year.

Despite the reduced harvest in 2024, Ukraine has demonstrated high export activity due to the stable operation of deep-water ports.

Wheat prices (CPT-port basis) increased by 50-150 UAH/t, reaching the range of 9900-10300 UAH/t.

Lemtrans Group has completed the construction of the second stage of the “dry” port – “Container Terminal Vinnytsia”. The first cargo has already been sent from the CTP to Odesa.

In the first 10 months of this year, agricultural exports from Ukraine to China amounted to $1.25 billion, while imports of agricultural goods from China to Ukraine amounted to over $220 million.

According to the forecast, Ukraine expects to export grain and oilseed crops at the level of 46.9 million tons in the 2024/2025 marketing year (MY).

The wagons were sent within the scope of the export discount. Over UAH 233 million has already been used to implement the project.

By the end of the year, Ukraine plans to reach about 77 million tons in agricultural exports.

Rates for grain transportation from the ports of Great Odesa to Mediterranean countries have fallen by an average of two dollars per ton.

In early December, almost 700 thousand tons of agricultural products were stuck in ports. The situation has improved now.
