The President of the Grain Chamber of Poland said that the Republic of Poland can maintain the blockade on the import of Ukrainian grain, but transit should be allowed.

Since the start of operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, about 40 million tons of cargo, including 26 million tons of grain, have been exported from the ports of Great Odesa.

The convention on cargo transportation to the port of Chornomorsk was extended until April 22.

The supply of agricultural products from Ukraine is planned for the period from May 20 to 30 this year.

As a result of the full-scale invasion, the logistics chains of the export of agricultural products to world markets were affected.

During the 15 days of April, the total export from Ukraine by water transport amounted to 3.5 million tons.

Ukraine’s losses due to the introduction of a new protective mechanism of the European Union aimed at Ukrainian agricultural exports may exceed €300 million.

Poland will not be able to independently solve the “problem” regarding the export of agricultural products from Ukraine, as it must be done at the political level within the European Union.

Due to increased restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products by the EU, farmers are advised to look for new sales markets.

The increase in export transportation by railway is associated with the stable operation of the maritime corridor and ports of Ukraine.
