Taking off from the ships: Turkey introduced the new Bayraktar TB3 drone

The new UAV from the Turkish defense company Baykar Defense has primarily a “maritime” purpose.

Baykar Defense has announced that its latest reconnaissance and strike drone Bayraktar TB3 has completed its first flight, writes Defense Express.

The new UAV has a “sea” purpose, as it is Baykar Defense’s first unmanned aerial vehicle that can take off and land on ships with a flight deck, and has folding wings for storage in the ship’s hangar.

It is planned that Bayraktar TB3 will be put into serial production in 2024. First of all, the UAV will be intended for the Turkish Navy, which needs such drones to staff the air group of the TGG Anadolu ship.
