Thanks to the maritime corridor, Ukraine has reached pre-war trade indicators – Shmyhal
In 2024, Ukraine reached pre-war trade figures, exporting almost 130 million tons of goods worth more than $41 billion.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“One of the key tasks in economic policy for this year is the further growth of exports and investments. In 2024, we have already actually reached pre-war trade figures. Ukraine exported almost 130 million tons of goods worth more than $41 billion,” Shmyhal noted at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to him, such volumes became possible thanks to the work of the Ukrainian sea corridor and the work of ports, which transported more than 97 million tons of cargo in 2024.
“Our goal in this direction is to reduce exports of raw materials and increase exports of processing,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
It is also known that last year, Ukrainian ports processed a record 97.2 million tons of cargo.
