The Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new board of directors at Ukrzaliznytsia

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed new members of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.

This is stated in the Cabinet of Ministers’ order №282 dated April 1.

According to the document, the powers of the members of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia Vyacheslav Yeremin, Yevhen Lyashchenko, Józef Tuley and Yevhen Shramek were terminated due to the expiration of their terms of office.

By the same order, the Cabinet of Ministers re-appointed Józef Tuley and Yevhen Shramek, as well as Oleksandr Nosulko, all of them, to the board of UZ for a term of office until September 30, 2025.

Thus, Yevhen Lyashchenko and Vyacheslav Yeremin have completed their work on the board of UZ.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Lidiya Hrytsenko and Mykola Ivaniniv (from April 10) for a term of office until October 17, 2027.

Oleksandr Pertsovsky remains the chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia. He was appointed to the position in October 2024 for a term of three years.

As Rail.insider writes with reference to the UZ press service, the updated board faces a number of challenges and tasks. Among them is increasing the efficiency of verticals, given the decline in cargo volumes and growing costs and debt obligations accumulated over the years. The new board will also have to look for new customers, quickly restore infrastructure and implement investment projects that are critical for the industry.

“All board members have significant experience in the railway sector, experience of implemented changes and are ready to perform tasks in their areas from the first day,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.

Earlier, USM reported that Ukrzaliznytsia will repair ferries for operation on the Trans-Caspian route.
