The Armed Forces hit two Russian ships of the Vasyl Bykov type in the Black Sea


Defense forces of Ukraine damaged two Russian patrol ships of the Vasyl Bykov type in the Black Sea.

On the morning of September 14, the Defense Forces attacked two patrol ships of the project 22160 type “Vasily Bykov” of the occupation fleet of the Russian Federation, the Strategic Communications Department of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reported .

The ships came under attack in the southwestern part of the Black Sea.

StratCom clarified that the ships received some damage.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced an attempt to destroy one of the ships of this type – “Sergiy Kotov”. The department claimed that they allegedly repelled the attack.

Previously, USM reported that on the night of September 13, Ukrainian troops struck a ship repair plant in occupied Sevastopol. Two Russian ships were damaged – a landing ship and a submarine.

Judging by satellite images, the number of affected ships in Sevastopol may be higher.
