The auction house refused to sell Medvedchuk’s yacht


The Dutch auction house Troostwijk Auctions refused to organize auctions for the sale of Viktor Medvedchuk’s yacht.

Currently, negotiations are being conducted with another auction house — Boathouse Auctions (USA), АРМА reported.

The winner of the competition, the auction house Troostwijk Auctions, informed ARMA in a letter on April 30 about the refusal to continue negotiations for the preparation and signing of the contract on the organization of auctions. The specified reasons are confidential and not subject to disclosure, ARMA emphasized.

Therefore, according to the terms of the competition, on May 1, the proposal for the sale of the 92-meter yacht Royal Romance was handed over to the participant who took second place, receiving a total of 108 points.

ARMA has already received official confirmation from the American auction house Boathouse Auctions about the start of negotiations with their representatives. Currently, the parties are discussing in detail all legal issues and legal safeguards for the auction.
