The Black Sea initiative was extended for another 120 days

The work of the “grain” corridor was extended for another 120 days. The UN and Turkey remained guarantors of the Initiative.

Today, November 17, the extension of grain agreements was approved in Istanbul, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov announced on Facebook.

“Since the start of the Grain Initiative, Ukraine has already exported more than 11 million tons of grain to 38 countries around the world. Currently, the world market does not have the opportunity to replace Ukrainian agricultural products. However, it is possible to increase the amount of our food for the world,” said the minister.

In addition, Ukraine officially appealed to the partners with a proposal to extend the Initiative for at least 1 year and to include the port of Mykolaiv. Ukrainian representatives also made new proposals to ensure the effective work of the Joint Coordination Center.
